Project Partner meeting & Site Visit organized in BATUMI in framework of  “Let’s Cycle at Black Sea” (BSB 998) project

During 27-28 April, IBDIPC organized Project partner meeting and site visit in BATUMI  in the framework of  “Let’s Cycle at Black Sea” (BSB 998) project.

Project meeting was attended by partners from Turkey (Sakarya Muicipality), Romania (University Dunărea de Jos)  ,  Bulgaria  (KONSTANTIN PRESLAVSKY UNIVERSITY OF SHUMEN) and Georgia  (IBDIPC).  During meeting was discussed ongoing issues of project implementation, planned events in Sakarya (cycling Fest and Cycling tourism Workshop) and future steps.  Also, there was arranged presentation by representative of  Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara about overall tourism potential, ongoing trends, Promotion/Marketing activities of Department and ongoing/planned projects related to Cycling tourism development.

On next day was arranged the site visit in Mountainous / Rural region of Adjara region – to make familiar with various tourism sites outside of BATUMI city, part of cycling routes (Batumi seaside  and part of Mirveti route).  The guest had opportunity to taste local gastronomy at Shervashidze Wine Cellar (Keda region) which is essential part of local tourism experience.

The project “Let’s Cycle at Black Sea”  is supported by  EU Black Sea CBC program.  Its major goal is to promote cycling tourism potential of partner countries through – Joint Digital Platform;  Establishing Cycle Routes for Cycling Tourism, Organizing Joint Various Events With Concept of cycle friendly services and capacity development (trainings etc.) of sector.
